gnome-apt is work in progress right now. It has some severe limitations, but
they will be worked out.

What I was implying is that after seeing an actual GUI, it would be hard for
me to get excited about any char based interface. To me, dselect is more
useful than the apt-find I have, but that might be because I don't know how to
use apt-find well enough.
