test memory chips with Knoppix

I seem to recall (... YES!  google.com/linux confirms... )
that LNX-BBC has memtest, onboard, as a boot option.  (See, for
example, http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/6890 .  Further
references are left as an exercise for the google, er,
reader.)
