and The Other Change of Hobbit in Berkeley, like Stacey's in 
Palo Alto and San Francisco, and the Stanford Bookstore in Palo
Alto are _evil independent bookstores_ designed to take advantage of
customers' moral weakness towards their subversive products.

You should certainly NOT make a point of patronising theses places, 
to support them.  You would risk corrupting the youth and promoting 
false gods, and like that.
