There are also any number of Chinese, Thai, and Mexican places within an
easy walk of the downtown BART.  As long as we meet before the rains start
again in November, we have the option of going our seperate ways for food
and convening on the grass at the University, two blocks from the BART,
with takeout.

There's a great Indian buffet not far from the BART that's cheap at
lunchtime.  And of course there's always Mel's.
