It's not so easy for someone to just call up and say, "we'd like to use your
field and bleachers". I have no idea who I would do that with. And what do you
do about Microphones, speakers, etc...

OTOH, I have a friend who held User Group meetings at the Stanford Linear
Auditorium up until last year. It's a pretty historical building (FWIW) for
computer User Groups. I think it would be a great place for Stallman to speak.
I think he would fill it up pretty easily, but not sure. A lot of people will
hear him speak at LinuxWorld.

I haven't heard back from Stallman, so as Rick suggested, he might not be all
that interested in speaking there...who knows.

I didn't mean for Rick to pee on his leg, there seemed to be a hidden message
that he really implied that it should meet in the city I guess, but I don't
know the city that well, I live in the Valley.

If someone knows a place up in the city they should jump on it.
