thanks to the guys at the booth for handholding. (mac powerbook3400 circa 1997 Sarge >>Etch) i was booting 2.6.15-1 kernel on my old powerbook last night and today until it crashed. not quite 16 yet but much beyond 8. it was nice, i / we will keep working at it. its a fine old machine. brian
