I'm trying to put a recent downloaded iso of debian on a Dell Optiplex =
GXa. It has an ATI 3D Rage Pro Chip, and refuses to load a gui. -at =
this point I'm not even concerned with networking.
after choosing card# 68 for Mach64 3D Rage Pro, testing the =
configuration results in:
X: exec of /usr/bin/X11/XF86_VGA16 failed
when I use conservative settings
and
Cannot open mouse (No such file or directory)
when I use higher default settings.
Any ideas?
