begin Sean 'Shaleh' Perry quotation:

[Tied House, Mountain View:]

> Good beer, decent food.

Awful management, which fscks over groups trying to meet there
repeatedly until they give up trying. I've tried and eventually given
up on them; so has Marc Merlin.

What happens, you say? You make reservations; they aren't honoured.
You tell everyone you're going to meet at tables in the outside back
patio area; upon arrival, you're told that that entire area is suddenly
unavailable because some other party has grabbed it, even though you
were assured it would be available. You arrive and are told that your
party will have to be split between widely split tables. You attempt to
squeeze one late arrival in at the end of a table, and are informed that
he won't be served because they don't like people sitting at the end.

It's possible that the dot-com collapse has fixed some of this by
relieving them of some of that troubling 110%-capacity patronage that
they were so ill-equipped to handle. Or management may just be assholes
and incompetents. It's difficult to say, without further
experimentation.
