I guess you have to live in a socialist country for it to be possible, eh?
BC Transit controls all the busses in the province (state), so there were
never any of these battles.
I believe San Diego is a similar story to Vancouver in that the busses
are all unified, including their mass-transit train, but the problem is
they shut down at 9pm!!! And they are few and far between. Bussing in
San Diego is as hellacious as in the Bay Area, except for the fact its
a little bit cheaper.
