Looking for a Linux / scsi guru - or at least knowlegable

     I have a Pentium system with the following components:
           Adaptec 2940 scsi adapter
           Quantum 60108C2  (Fireball) 1Gb hd
           Conner CFP1060S   1Gb hd
           Toshiba XM3501TA CD

   I have tried to install Debian Linux 2.1 but the last attempt said it
couldn't find the hard
  drive(s).

        I was pointed to you as a possible resource by a person that is
a member of the
Debian support group.   If you get this and don't understand why please
respond and
let me know such.  If you can help I can supply other helpful
information that may be
pertinent.
